Ken Daubenspeck has been ranked among the “150 Most Influential Headhunters in the World” by Business Week. As founder of Daubenspeck and Associates, Ken has focused on providing retained executive recruiting, assessment and selection for a broad range of clients both internationally and within the US. In 2014, Daubenspeck and Associates was ranked among the top 40 search firms in North America.

Ken served in the western pacific fleet of the United States Nuclear Submarine Navy prior to joining the banking division of Electronic Data Systems, where he led planning and integration teams in the areas of human resources and information technology. Ken continued in leadership roles at the Central National Bank and the Chicago Title and Trust companies. Ken entered the executive search business in 1980. After starting Daubenspeck and Associates in 1982, Ken was recruited to manage the search practice for a medium-size, Chicago-based executive search firm. After tripling the firm’s revenues in two years, Ken returned to Daubenspeck and Associates in 1989.

His foray into the international search arena began with the opening of the Chicago office for the 17th largest international search firm, and later becoming its Managing Partner, Americas.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University and has served as Alumni Board Chairman for DePaul University’s School for New Learning. He is a board member of the Oakton Community College Foundation and serves on the Business Advisory Group for the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning. Ken is active in the Association of Executive Search Consultants, the Society for Information Management and the Economic Club of Chicago.
